Sometimes, life hands us a moment so transformative it demands a complete script rewrite. Last year, while comfortably situated at my office desk surrounded by wonderful colleagues and a good salary, I was struck by a profound realization. Just a week after booking a dream trip to Egypt, I thought, “I can’t experience something this transformative and return to this desk as if nothing happened.”
Fast forward to today: I'm freshly back from what was not just a trip, but a pivotal turning point in both my life and career.
Walking away from a stable office job was both terrifying and exhilarating. There was no clear roadmap, and no safety net—only a deep, unwavering conviction that there was more out there, and I had to seize it on my own terms. The path to launching this business was paved with deep introspection, facing my fears, and substantial personal healing—especially regarding my beliefs about success, work, and money. This internal work was vital to become the business owner I aspired to be, ensuring my business truly reflected my identity.
Entrepreneurship is more than just business mechanics (which I absolutely love, by the way); it's about ensuring every step reflects who I am, my values, and the impact I aim to create. This involves redefining success, appreciating the beauty of strategic pivots, and understanding that there's no such thing as failure, only feedback.
Egypt was more than a mere destination; it was a declaration. A declaration of my readiness to embrace the unknown and to build a business that is a mirror of not just my skills but my soul. Returning from this journey, I feel an even deeper conviction and clarity about my path as a consultant.
This trip taught me that true alignment in business doesn’t come from having all the answers upfront. It's about being brave enough to ask the right questions, to pivot when your heart demands it, and to embrace each step with courage and grace.
