When Business Meets Personal Growth:

When Business Meets Personal Growth: Embracing the Spotlight

Before I became an entrepreneur, my world revolved around the theatre—specifically, the intricate workings of technical theatre. Yes, I was a stage manager armed with a degree and a long list of productions under my belt. While I adored the magic of behind-the-scenes, there was a time when the spotlight and I were the best of friends. I relished every moment on stage.

As the years rolled by, I convinced myself that my true calling was backstage, hidden away, excelling in organization and planning. This wasn’t due to a lack of talent; rather, it stemmed from a nagging self-doubt and the fear of standing front and center.

Life progressed, and while I embraced my role behind the scenes, the urge to step into the spotlight lingered. After a tough period (picture lip-syncing through a week’s worth of shows due to illness), I retreated from auditioning, and my dreams of the stage dimmed.

Here’s the twist: after eight long years, I mustered the courage to audition again, this past weekend, for my dream show. Despite the overwhelming turnout of over 100 people, I found myself with a private audition for the singing part—talk about the universe aligning! While I didn’t get a callback, that moment marked one of the proudest in my life. I stepped up, not as my former self, but as the person I am today—vibrant, joyful, and ready for anything.

Why does this matter to you, fellow entrepreneurs? We all perform on our own stages daily. Facing our business fears, making tough decisions, stepping into our own spotlights—it’s all part of the journey. My brief return to theatre underscored the importance of confronting our fears, embracing vulnerability, and just going for it.

This week, as we open enrollment for MCM: Flow & Framework™, I invite you to reflect on your own journey. What are the "stages" you've been avoiding? What fears have kept you backstage, and how can stepping into the light redefine your path to success?

Let’s embark on this adventure together, turning our fears into stepping stones and our dreams into realities. I'm here to support and cheer you on every step of the way. I can’t wait to see what incredible things we’ll achieve together.
